The instructions are simple to get, and very easy to understand for any kid that has ever seen the animated series. The players will alternate laying down their gate cards on the field, and then roll one of their bakugan battle brawlers onto the field across the cards to get it to stand on them. If they don't land on a card it is the other players turn. When a player lands two of his brawlers on the same card, then the card is taken into that player's possession. When both players land one of their battle brawlers on the same gate card then the two player have to battle for the card. The gate card they are both on is then turned over, and add up the G points to each brawler to decide who wins the battle. The winner captures the card. The player that captures three cards first wins.
The game is pretty simple to understand, and extremely fun too. Other rule variations can be used also. There are many other items that can be bought as an addition to Bakugan games to make the experience more fun, such as the battle arena and the shooters.
