For those people who dont spend their lives in the gym, there are a lot of people who think false things about bodybuilding supplements. Even those who are gym rats are going to find that there are a lot of bodybuilders out there that think that bodybuilding supplements are going to slow down the growth of muscle mass, interfere with progress or even cause them to gain body fat. Misconception: Bodybuilding supplements will make you fat. The biggest misconception about bodybuilding supplements is that they will make you fat. This is because if you look at the nutrition facts on your can of protein shakes, you are probably going to find that they contain a lot of sugar. In fact, not getting enough sugar is going to slow down your weight lifting progress, because your muscles arent going to get enough energy to work properly, which means that you wont be getting as good of a workout as you could be. In this case, bodybuilding supplements are definitely going to help you to gain muscle mass and are not going to make you fat. If you are really worried about this, just switch to a vitamin supplement and you wont have to worry about extra sugar being added.

Misconception: You can get addicted to body building supplements. No, this isnt the same addiction as a drug addiction, but addicted to them in the way that once you use them, you wont be able to gain muscles if you stop using them. This is going to be false. Most bodybuilders, once they start taking bodybuilding supplements, dont stop because they like the effects that it has. If you want to stop, you can at anytime, and just enhance your diet with foods. Bodybuilding supplements are going to allow people who dont have perfect diets to increase the rate in which they grow muscle mass. Sure, you can do it without supplements, but with these supplements it is a lot easier.

Misconception: Supplements are going to ruin your health. This statement could be true if you are taking the wrong supplement. There are some chemical-filled bodybuilding supplements out there that are going to be bad for your health, but great at promoting muscle growth. The only way to find a safe supplement is by buying one made by a company that is trustworthy. A trustworthy brand is going to quell all of your fears about bodybuilding supplements.

There are a lot of misconceptions about bodybuilding supplements. Sure, there are some supplements that are not going to work for you, but when you find the best supplement for your body and one that will help you achieve your goals, youre going to realize it is worth its weight in gold.
